For integrating sources I had always been told to give an explanation for the quote after to give reasoning for its inclusion. This is done in the new methods introduced. However, introducing the background of the author is new. The setup is slightly different than what I am used to, but I like it. It has also caused me to include more paraphrases or summaries than what I would normally do which helps. It also has caused me to consider what sources are better as quotes or paraphrases, which I have never done before. The new method helps compile thoughts in a reasonable way that makes sense.
This prewriting helped to plan out my thoughts before hand and in an organized way. I was able to include the main points and then when writing my paper go into more detail.
